The Coconut Right Hand: A Negroni Twist Worth Making
A coconut twist on the classic Negroni, made with just three ingredients. Consider Friday-night drinks sorted.
With Negroni Week wrapping up today, we’re marking the occasion with a twist on the classic that’s well worth making beyond the celebrations.
The Coconut Right Hand from Around Bar in Exmouth Market swaps gin for coconut rum and, while the original will always have its place, we’re rather taken with this tropical direction.
The recipe comes from Around Bar, the independent Exmouth Market cocktail spot from hospitality trio Sadia Rahman, Dominic Watmore and Jacob Watmore. The neighbourhood bar specialises in seasonal cocktails alongside complimentary aperitivo-inspired snacks, with a menu that changes throughout the year.
Made with Planteray Cut & Dry Coconut Rum, Campari and sweet vermouth, the Coconut Right Hand keeps the bittersweet character we love in a Negroni, with coconut adding a softer, more unexpected edge. Best of all, it’s exactly our sort of at-home cocktail: three ingredients, equal measures and no complicated kit required.
