Summer weekends are made for adventures especially when it’s your last chance to catch some of London’s best family-friendly cultural events before they wrap for the season.
From immersive design and nature-inspired installations to outdoor yoga and a heart warming film, here’s what not to miss this weekend.
1. Family Yoga + Screening of Flow at the Barbican
A perfect weekend activity: stretch with a fun outdoor yoga session in the Sculpture Court (ages 5–8), then settle in for Family Film Club’s screening of Flow (recommended 6+). A gentle but engaging way to spend your Saturday morning and one of the final sessions before the summer break.

2. Nature | Connected at King’s Cross
Step into a magical immersive sound and light exhibition that responds to living plants and your movements. Created by artist Natural Symphony, this sensory experience is a peaceful, playful way to connect children with nature but only until this Sunday, so head down to catch it before it goes.

3. London Design Biennale at Somerset House
Ending this week at Somerset House, the fifth edition of the London Design Biennale brings together over 50 global exhibitors exploring identity, legacy and environment through design. Curated under the theme ‘Surface Reflections’ by Dr Samuel Ross, this is your last chance to experience design as a deeply human and profoundly global force.

4. Now Gallery: London Festival of Architecture Takeover
Explore three thought-provoking exhibitions on architecture as a force for social justice and community. With the festival wrapping up after Sunday, this is a timely visit for families with older kids and teens interested in design and big ideas.

5. The Play Pavilion in collaboration with Serpentine and LEGO
Perfect for a family day out, the stunning Serpentine Pavilion 2025 by Marina Tabassum remains open for a few more months, offering a beautiful space to explore art and architecture. Meanwhile, take the kids to the Play Pavilion Commission by Sir Peter Cook in partnership with the LEGO Group, where they can play, explore and create inside this vibrant space.
