m+ escapes: Ekies All Senses Resort, Greece
THE VIBE
After a bearable 3.5 hour flight from London City Airport with a three year old, we landed in Greece and immediately felt the shift into holiday mode.
Tucked into Vourvourou Bay, Ekies All Senses Resort blends barefoot luxury with boho ease in the best way. Think natural textures, earthy tones, and modern rustic interiors that feel both stylish and serene.
We booked a family suite with a private pool, which gave us our own quiet corner when we wanted to switch off (or when the three year old needed a bit of a reset).
The layout is beautifully thought through, the seamless flow from the hotel’s main restaurants straight onto the private beach made every mealtime feel like part of the adventure.
Whether you're lounging by the pool, or listening to the live jazz band in the bar area the whole place has that elusive boutique-meets-baby-friendly balance down.
M+ Mini Approved?
Absolutely. Ekies is wonderfully welcoming to families, without ever feeling like a “family hotel.”
We were given a cot and blackout blinds, and it was clear that if we’d needed anything else, they’d have happily sorted it.
Highchairs were always available, and the restaurant staff would bring over colouring pencils and paper of their own accord—a simple but genuinely helpful touch during slower mealtimes.
There’s a separate shallow pool for babies and toddlers, which we found especially useful given the main pool has a deep end of over 2m. That said, the main pool still felt like the daytime hub, while our private one came in handy during quieter moments.
There’s also a babysitting service and in the summer there is a seasonal kids’ club for children 5+.
As we had a 3 year old, we didn’t use the kids club, but from what we saw most families seemed happy hanging out together at the beach or bar in the evenings.
Finally, if you’re staying in a Junior or Loft suite, its worth noting that the baby monitor will stretch from room to restaurant, another perk in the boutique layout of the hotel.
What’s there to do?
With warm, shallow water right on your doorstep, the beach quickly becomes the main event and perfect for little ones to paddle safely.
We loved the ease of hiring a boat directly from the shore to explore nearby beaches and hidden coves. We did it twice and would have happily gone again.
The water is crystal clear, and the freedom of charting your own boat for a day was a definite holiday highlight.
There’s also a small playground onsite, which was a good energy outlet after travelling, but in truth, we spent most of our time flitting between pool, beach, and restaurant.
Food & dining
The food at Ekies is a step above your usual resort fare. There are three restaurants and a seafront bar, each with their own vibe: Kuko is your go to for morning breakfast and relaxed lunches. Bubo opens each evening from 7–11pm and is modern Greek dishes with a twist. It’s multi-award winning and being able to watch the sunset in front of you, makes this a great experience.
Treehouse is their fine dining restaurant perched up in the pines, open Thursday to Saturday from 9pm. It’s a starlit, adults only experience with beautifully curated tasting menus and Greek wines.
Lastly, Loligo bar sits right on the seafront and is open all day for ice cream, juices, all day snacks and cocktails.
Only one of the main restaurants offers a kids’ menu, but even that felt elevated: lamb koftas, grilled fish, and Greek salads sat comfortably alongside the usual pizza and pasta.
For a change of scene, Melia on Karidi Beach is nearby and worth a visit. The culinary highlight of the trip though? Aristos Fish Tavern which is a brilliant seafood restaurant just 15 minutes away by taxi, or even better, 40 minutes by boat.
We took our own boat there one afternoon and it was such a fun, memorable way to end the day, our daughter was obsessed and still talks about it.
m+ parent perks?
The gold standard for any family escape is somewhere that caters for your kids without making you feel like you’ve compromised. Ekies does just that.
It’s chic and easygoing, with enough of a grown up atmosphere to still feel like a proper holiday, while the relaxed setup means little ones are happy too.
For us, it struck the perfect balance child friendly, but with that pre-kid boutique energy we still crave from a holiday.
We left feeling like we’d actually had a break. Highly recommend for families who want sun, sea, and style without the stress.
